Our History
The delegates of several Laconian Associations and Societies, in the United States and Canada, assembled in a convention held in the city of Chicago, Illinois, during the week commencing May 22, 1948, with the intention to perpetuate their heritage and traditions, and to encourage and foster communion amongst them. They organized and established a Federation, βThe Pan-Laconian Federation of the United States and Canada, Inc.β and adopted a Constitution and By-Laws to govern the Federation. The location and principal office of the Federation shall be in the State of Illinois and the charter shall be retained by the Registered Agent, who shall be a resident of the State of Illinois. The Federation shall also maintain offices where the Supreme President and/or the Supreme Secretary reside.
